Note*

Nathaniel (and presumably his wife Sarah and their children) came to New England circa 1637. The exact year would affect where their youngest children were born and needs to be researched further. Sanborn's article on the family states that Nathaniel settled in Newbury, MA, appears on the Newbury records from 1638 to 1659, and then moved to Nantucket, where he died March 1, 1681; and that his brother Peter, wtih whom he came to New England, settled in York County, Maine. I have not followed Peter's line.²
